The most extensive prehistoric rock paintings in Scandinavia date back 5000 years. Approx 21km from Ristiina along Suurlahdentie (Route 4323). From the parking area to the paintings is a 3km walk along path that is tricky in areas. Alternatively, you can view the paintings from the lake aboard a scenic cruise.
