During the war, the Commander-in-chief, Mannerheim, had a staff train at his disposal. The saloon car, built in 1929-30, was used by him and his staff between 1939 and 1946. During the war, he travelled 78,00 km in this saloon car. Repaired at the engineering-shop in Pasila, the carriage was moved to Mikkeli railway stationin 1992.
Mannerheim's Saloon Car is open only on 4.6.m on his birthday.
