The best cross-country skiing trails in Mikkeli District can be found in Mäntyharju and Kalevankangas in Mikkeli. Both locations offer several different trails.
Altogether there are over 350 kilometres of cross-country skiing tarils within the City of Mikkeli, including 82 kilometres of lighted trails. Easy trails for families with children can be found nearby most holiday cottages.
Mikkeli District also have two downhill skiing centres: Ski Tornimäki in Mikkeli and Hasa Ski Centre in Juva.
