Salmela Art Centre is one of the biggest and most famous art centres in Finland. Its multicultural program includes art exhibitions, concerts and lectures. The exhibitions concentrate on contemporary Finnish Art of a high standard, including both established artists and young talent.
Mikkeli Art Museum. The "Granite House" next to the cathedral hosts seasonal exhibitions and collections of classic Finnish art throughout the year.
Navettagalleria at Kyyhkylä Manor. This small gallery presents a fun exhibition of Finnish recycled art. The materials used for the pieces on display include end-of-life items that have been discarded, found or donated, such as dusters, balloons, broken mirrors, gloves that don't match and plastic bottles.
Saksala Art Radius. This international art centre presents major exhibitions and art events throughout the year.
